Catskill Rodmakers Gathering 2003 Agenda
This year's gathering will build a "Gathering Rod" based upon the original
Payne 98 taper. There will be presentations by former owners and rodmakers at the Payne Company.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the building of this special rod. Everything on the
rod will have been made by the rodmakers. This rod will then be presented to the Catskill Fly
Fishing Center and Museum to be used as a fund raising item at the Winter Fly Fishing Shows.
There will be a group picture taken and everyone will have an opportunity to sign the booklet
that will accompany the rod. This year we have use of the pavilion area by the pond which will
allow us to have more space for casting rods and completing this project.
The gathering will be catered by the Dead End Cafe. A light breakfast and lunchtime buffet
lunches including beverages and the Chili cookout will be provided as part of the registration fee.
